I have been staying here in Los Angeles for almost 2 weeks now, but the highlight of my trip here is just about to start tomorrow. We’ll be travelling 283 miles north-east to The Entertainment Capital of the World, Las Vegas. We’ll be staying there for 4 days in Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino to celebrate my cousin’s 21st birthday. # 48 Party in Vegas will be ticked off soon…..

In few hours, I’ll be heading off to Los Angeles, California for the second time. My first time was way back to 2010 with my sister, Madel. This time, I’ll be going on my own to visit my relatives over there and spend the rest of the summer for 4 weeks. Will I be doing something on my bucket list? Hell yeah!!! What will it be then? I just don’t know which one yet but I would say 4 weeks is enough to tick off some few on my list. I’ll be posting some pictures on my FB account to give you some updates and highlights of my trip or simply wait for my blogs to be posted here.

It has been a while since I opened my Babbel account. I got busy with other stuff but now I’m back on track and try to continue what I already started. I need to refresh my Spanish, Italian and French vocabularies and learn some more. I have completed now the Beginner’s Course 2 for the 3 languages and here are my certificates.

Learning a new language requires a lot of time, efforts and patience to absorb all the new words one will learn everyday. Some people would spend money by enrolling in a language class which is a good way of meeting people who have the same interests and interacting with them as you learn (which I did). But there are other ways to learn a language for free that I discovered. These are through the online language tools  like:

Duolingo

Livemocha

And the one that I’m currently using is….

Babbel

I have been using this language tool for more than a year since I’ve been trying to learn Spanish before I went to Tenerife in Canary Islands last April, 2014. But few months back ( I can’t really remember), they offered a promo which one can access all the 13 languages available for 99 euro for a year. So I purchased it since I also have to learn Italian and French and this is the cheapest way of learning the 3 languages for beginners like me, I just have to learn them all 3 at the same time. For me, using Babbel.com is the best way of learning a new language since it teaches me everything I need verbally and in written. And I highly recommend this for those who are interested in learning a new language. I also downloaded the application on my mobile phone so I can use it anywhere during my free time.

At the moment I have completed the Beginner’s Course 1 in Spanish,

spanish

 in French,

french

and in Italian.

Since September of last year, I have been attending some language classes as a part-time student. I just wanted to do something else that can make me busy for a while since I had a year-off in college. So I work full-time in the morning, then I attend classes at night. I have 4 items on my list pertaining about learning new languages. Those are learning Spanish, French, Italian and the sign language. Just to give myself a bit of a challenge and keep myself working on my bucket list, I decided to do not just 1 language course but 3. I attend on my Spanish classes on Tuesdays, Italian classes on Wednesdays and French classes on Thursdays.

This photo was taken last December during our end of semester class which our lecturer brought some Pandoro ( An italian type of pastry) and a bottle of Prosecco ( an Italian white wine).

These are some of my books I’m using in learning the 3 languages at the same time.

Learning a new language can be hard; learning 3 languages at the same time is confusing and a lot way harder but I am determined to learn these 3 languages fluently.

Happy New Year to All !!!It has been a while since the last time I posted something here. But that doesn’t mean I stopped working on my bucket list. For the past few months, I was actually working for some of it. I was just a bit lazy on posting it here since. But since its a new year, I’m going to make an extra effort to keep my blog updated. Just keep updated here. I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year…
